Gaalkacyo: The verdict of the elders and Puntland Stances

Postby Xamud. » Sun Sep 11, 2011 8:02 pm

According to my relatives in Gaalkacyo(both MJ and Leelkase) I have been told that waxaa la sameyay a peace council of 15 elders. These elders hail from the regions of Puntland(Nugaal,Bari,Mudug,SSC) and Galgaduud(a Marexaan Ugaas)

They have managed to reach a ceasefire between the two sides, this has led to to people coming back to their houses and slowly starting their life as it was before the clashes.

But Puntland has again and again refused some of the verdicts from the elders, claiming that they are a dowlad and they do not adhere to the rules of the "elders" they are still claiming that they are fighting Alshabab, despite the fact that ALL the elders(and la taliyaha madaxweynaha ee sirdoonka Puntland, Gen Mohamed Dahiir "Shimbir) agreed on that theres no shabab insight.

Puntland demands that the Leelkase militia evacuates the soutern checkpoint of Gaalkacyo(Kontroolka Magaalada oo aado jiidka Mogadishu)

They have also demanded the dismantling of the militia and that Leelkase hands over their arms.

All in all, the elders told Puntland they are demanding to much and caving into to little.

The elders plan was to bring the two sides to the table and resolve the issues the coming days.

But this seems like a dead cause, seeing how Leelkase refused to up their arms, I mean theres not a single clan in Puntland that is not armed, why hand over your weapons when you are in the middle of wild wild west. Who is gonna defend you tomorrow?

Regarding Kontroolka, they have agreed on leaving the kontrool as soon as peace prevails in a direct manner, cuz as of now theres only a cease fire in effect.

I have also been told that the Puntland army reciving back up upon back up as we speak.

I hope to god that no war returns, this is the last thing Gaalkacyo needs.

Advice to Leelkase....Arm yourselves to the teeth. In today's Somalia, there is no way you can trust anyone. Secure your interests and bring security to your homes, wives, children, elders because no one else would do it for you.

As for Majeerteen, know that you guys are brothers and try as much as you can to work together in working out the differences and putting everything back to normal.

Gobnimada Xoojiya

KOW
This is not between Majerteen and Leelkase, but rather between the current adminstration of Puntland and Leelkase.

The elders consist of all tribes, as a matter of fact it is being led by Garaadka Cabdi Cisse(Cumar Mahamud, MJ) and Sheikh Gacmey(Cisse Mahamud)

Goljano
Exist this topic, its not for you.

Both SSC and Marexaan are present, because they are our kin, and they want whats best for everyone  peace.

And by SSC I meant the provinces of Sool,Sanaag and cayn.

I apologize, Xamud. Majeerteen ma'aha miya. Wayahay.

Xamuudow, don't trust Faroole iyo his administration. To save Puntland, Faroole has to be deposed and brought to trial. Ninku wuxu uuxubsibtay sidii uu Reer Puntland uu burburinlaha walle.

Faroole and his adminstration thought that by labelling the Leelkase militia as Al shabab they would get full support in their so called "war on terror" when in fact they are the ones terrorizing a entire group of people.

He thinks he can force people to obey him, and not even apologize for the death and destruction he brought upon(of course only allah decides marka la dhimanayo) the people of Garsoor.

He has obviously not learned nothing from Kacaanki, you can not force yourself upon people, and if you do you mightbe able to get away with for a while, but never for good.

Yeah, he was met with a lot of anger, but he explained the situation as best as he could, after all he is only one man. He told them that the clashes were trigged by "isfahan laan" and little communication.

I have been told he is currently in Norway for a seminar.
