The main highway which was built more than 30 years ago is being restored after years of deterioration. The road being revamped links the capital Garowe and Galkayo and its current state has made traveling between the two cities an exhausting experience.
The Director of PUNHA Hasan Osman Ali said that the top priority for the Puntland government aside from security is infrastructure. He added that the restoration process of the roads needs not just the government efforts but the people's support is crucial to accomplish this goal.
