Postby CismanMaxamud1 » Mon Mar 26, 2012 10:39 am

GALKAYO, Somalia Mar 26 2012 (Garowe Online) – A meeting in which signatories of the Roadmap and Garowe Principles is expected to take place in Galkayo Monday afternoon, Garowe Online reports. Puntland President Abdirahman Mohamed Farole, President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, Prime Minister Abdiweli Mohamed Gaas, Galmudug President Mohamed Ahmed Alim and Ahlu Sunnah representatives attended Col. Abdullahi Yusuf’s burial on Sunday and are scheduled to meet Monday afternoon. Speaker Sharif Hassan and UN Special Representative Augstine Mahiga are currently en route to Galkayo to participate in the meeting.

The meeting’s purpose has not been mentioned yet to the media but a previous meeting by heads of state in Galkayo led to the Galkayo accord in which leaders signed an agreement that regarded issues like insecurity on land and at sea and job creation for those living on the coastline. According to officials, heads of state will meet to discuss the final phases of the Roadmap.

Garowe Online will be covering the proposed meeting on Monday afternoon and will be posting the outcomes of the meeting
