CONSTRUCTION BEGINS IN LAASQOREY PORT

Construction begins on Puntland port
June 22, 2012

The Puntland government has constructing a modern port complex for the coastal district of Las Qorey, UN-funded Radio Bar-Kulan reported Thursday (June 21st).

The port is expected to improve transportation infrastructure in the region.

Las Qorey District Commissioner Yussuf Jamaa Dibad said ships carrying construction supplies and foreign engineers recently arrived in the port city.
