Ali Yusuf Kenadid, the second Sultan of the Sultanate of Hobyo.
Taariikhdooda soo akhri, and the underlying Habar rivalry, they've never had a system of governance till the British came, before that they were ruled by Turks, I'm telling you they've got a lot of colonial history. If you read about them waa fahmee where the pointless jealousy comes from. Puntites have always had a semblance of peace, prosperity and order, traders by nature, our people have always been autonomous and proud. For thousands of years, the guardians of Dal-Udug have ensured that every inch of ancestral land is safeguarded. Insha'allah the torch shall be passed onto the future generation".
Today we celebrate the 16th Birthday of Dal Udug/Puntland.
