I think Puntland is the only place in Somalia where dates are produced. Here are some images of the date farm in Laag or Karin.

I think they grow everywhere scattered....But yeah i believe Puntland holds the only plantation of Timir.
Timir trees will definitely make better landscape
Puntland Timir belongs to all and vice versa !

There are date plantations all over Bari, from Caluula, to Laag, to Karin to Bosaso and many other places.
Correction; Puntland's timir belongs to it's farmers and those who purchase it. The same goes for Puntland's many other natural resources.

Back to our roots, Banu Arab. Our forefathers, Abdur'rahman bin Ismaacil bin Jeberti would've been happy to see date farms flourishing in the lands they came and settle.
