Agriculture, according to FAO, Puntland has great soil, with the correct techniques, Puntland can be completely self-sufficient and won't need to import from the South anymore in the near future. The Ministry of Agriculture has empowered many farmers across the state to sell their produce on local markets.

Roox Farms, Mudug

Bosaso Farms

Nugaal Farms

Bosaso has actually seen a massive boom in farmland, look at the images below;

2006, a desert.

2011, West Bosaso, over a 100 acres of Irrigated farmland

Wow, imagine people backhome doing this in a massive scale? Not only would PL be self-sufficient, but also would have exported food to other parts in Somalia and the Gulf. Nevertheless, thanks to those farmers who are proven to be very resourceful.

I can see my homie Minister Mohamud in there.
