Bosaso Harbour plans 9 months before civil war

Postby xirsi95 » Wed Dec 16, 2015 8:10 pm

Seems pretty simple to build a dekad out of nothing like they did in Bosaso, plus it surprisingly worked out well even though the Dishiishe guy Goriiley and the Italian Prime Minister at the time Bettino Craxi who was corrupt as hell looted the rest of the cash after the port was built and the rest that was allocated for the Garowe-Bosaso highway.

"The paper deals with some design and construction aspects related to the new port at Bosaso, which is the terminal of the newly completed road system which connects northern Somalia with Mogadishu in the south, Fig. 1. The port and the road project was financed by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Funding Agency for Developing Contries, Italy. The basic design and supervision of the work were performed by TECHINT, Milano, with the supervision of CE- SEN, Genoa. The construction of the port was performed by SACES, Rome, with COSMEZZ Costruzioni, Rome, as subcontractor.
Infrastructure studies resulted in a design programme for a harbour to accommodate one 6,000 DWT general cargo/Ro-Ro vessel and a number of smaller cargo vessels (dhows) and fishing boats."

Here's the link to some upgrades to the port that were supposed to happen 9 months before Afweyne fled Xamar and the collapse of the nation:

Boosaaaso, a city that hasn't seen one day of fighting, still doesn't have a modern port or an airport.

What were they doing in the last 25+ yrs?

Lol yo we all know Somalis don't build ports but they get funding from foreigners, and the modern airport is gonna be done in May, yeah so there. And we don't get foreign aid like you Hawiye(who happen to squander and steal almost everything), almost everything thats built in Puntland is from the diaspora, shit's not handed to us on a golden platter like you moryaan. And bosaso did see fighting you fool your Adeer Dahir Aweys and his Al Itihad cronies captured Bosaso in the early 1990s with the help of some backstabbing Darood terrorists, but they were wiped out by Abdullahi Yusuf

Whats wrong with you people and self victimization horta? Instead of getting off ur lazy asses and doing something, u always have to blame others for ur incompetence and act like ur victims.

Boosaaaso is just a shit hole sxb, admit it. U had all the time in the world to work on infrastructure projects but u chose not to.

And those terrorists in Buuraha Gal Gala aren't Hawiye, but yea, keep blaming Hawiye for ur incompetence.

First of all I never said hawiye were in Galgala don't put words into my mouth you retard, obviously you must have dyslexia cuz you didn't read what I read properly.

And lmaoo @ "Instead of getting off ur lazy asses and doing something, u always have to blame others for ur incompetence and act like ur victims." We're lazy really?? we introduced federalism to you moryaan by us thriving and working hard to create a safe spot(Puntland) in the hell you guys created in Somalia, while you guys get over $700 million in aid each year form foreign governments in the name of all somalis in Somalia and still can't fix the south. EVERYTHING you ppl now have in Mogadishu was built by SOMEONE ELSE. ABSOLUTELY nothing was built by your moryaan hands. The Turks literally rebuilt Xamar from scratch after the destruction you caused in your own city. GTFO outta here saying we're lazy, we all know you guys are the biggest buuxtii's in the whole of the Somali peninsula. Saying we're incompetent when your retarded leaders can't explain missing amounts of over $100 million, Wallahi you crack me up

After so many decades, why is Boosaaaso building an airport just now? If u were so smart, u would have done this a longtime ago.

But I guess its better to sit on your ass all day, eat fish and complain about not getting ur share of foreign hand outs.

Dadkaan ceeb makarto ileen.

LooL expanding kulahaa. Dude, there was NO runway to begin with. It was just an unpaved airstrip, much like the one in Hobyo and Cadaado.

They just put the asphalt now, but before that, it was just dirt runway.

When it comes to ports, there is only 1 major port in the somali peninsula.
Berbera.
Even sayid barre knew this, the most anti Isaaq man ever.

Berbera port got developed extensively because of it's strategic location.
The Soviets & Americans wouldn't give a fk about Somalia if it wasn't for Berbera.

Even today, Gulf countries (mainly UAE) wants to upgrade Berbera
and use it in the current military operation going in Yemen.
