Issa Xeer not only goes back to during Adal Empire times but reaches even deeper in some aspects into ancient Egypt's era.the Hieroglyphical Symbols of the Issas clans in East Africa . extracted from the book: "The Search for the Ugaas in the Xeer Tradition” by the Dr. Ali Moussa Iye.
Not that much of a distance if Ciise lives in Awdal and Harti lived in Sanaag, hundreds of years ago, they may even have been neighbours.Interesting. How did both clans come together when we are separated by quite a distance, and other (some hostile) clans? Do you happen to know her name, full name?
Though Isse history is extensive, it is, however, mainly patriarchal. There is a dearth of matriarchal information -- that's a shame. Perhaps you can shed some light on this, and I will further explore it.
I'm headed to SomaliSpot
