But what do you think about my take of Galmudug. Don't you think Sacad needs to reconvene and change some things. I believe Sacad have a big advantage above the rest of the Hawiye, you have the opportunity to lead the tribe. If I were you guys, I would seriously consider expanding Galmudug towards Hiiraan. At the end of the day, Galmudug will become a bargaining chip in future nationwide deals.

It's good development, Hawiye subclans should focus on developing their deegans. The four regions of Mudug, Galgaduud, Hiiraan and Banadir have alot of economic potential and should be thus developed by their respective subclans.

For now, every Hawiye subclan has focused too much on the capital city which has ofcourse created a strong economic structure in the city. But this kind of development is vertical, only particular groups benefit for it while the majority is left behind.

Hawiye regions are very rich in natural resources, and the Hawiye have great business instinct so I have no doubt Galmadug, Galgadud etc will be successful.

I personally want to go to the Galgadud region to start engineering consulting company sometime in the near future, and would love Hawiye partners.

It took Puntland years to get where u are now. I don't believe Galkacyo should be the capital of Galmudug due to its proximity to unfriendly neighbors and past history of war. U made Garowe, capital of Puntland for that same reason

Regarding the Port, I do believe Hobyo is well suited for a Port in the future. Did u know that the Port of Bosaso was built using money earmarked for the creation of a Port at Hobyo according to Abullahi Ahmed Addow who was a Minister back then.

If a port is built at Hobyo, it would serve all of the prime livestock producing regions of Mudug, Galgaduud, Nugaal and Hiiraan.

Regarding the Puntland vs. GalMudug issue, Puntland does not have the military muscle or will to attack GalMudug. The folks who call for war and confrontation are not Sacad or Cumar Maxmuud , the two frontline tribes who look back to decades of disaster. Its the Dhuulbahante, Cisman Maxmuud, Isse Maxmuud, Cayr, Saleban and folks who would not suffer in any war who call for it.
