we eritreans are very much like you somalis. we are both fierce battle tested fighters. this is not a enemy's enemy is my firend type of relationship. this is an understanding on the part of the eritrean leadership that eritrea cannot be stable if its neighbors are not stable with governments that represent the people. east africans have been scarred by years and years of violence and inshallah, things will change in the near future. as an eritrean, i believe there are conspiracies acting against both the somalis and eritreans becuase we are socialist-minded sub-saharan african nations that believe in self reliance. self-reliance scares the US and other nations becuase it spread influence all around africa--"if eritrea and somalia become self-reliant then so does the rest of africa." = the US loses.
Like most eritreans, I dont hate the US, I just dont want them exploiting us like they do the rest of africa and like our slave ethiopians brothers. ethiopians, like all people in the horn are good people, but they always have the worst freaking govts that are mainly composed of opportunist elites.
for all of you that say issayas afwerki is a conspiring all the chaos is the Horn are straight fools. look at his history. look at how humble him, his family, and his ethic group lives. there many issayas afwerki-like minded individuals in eritrean government and thats why im confident in eritrea's future.
about the border war and meles' recent statements, he is playing a game with the media. there is no such thing as "accepting" the border ruling. it was a final and binding judicial ruling that needs no accepting but rather implementation on the part of the third party (UN,US,EU, and other gaurantors). most people dont understand this and keep spinning eritreans in circles. eritreans are PhD's in international conspiracies agaisnt our nation. Eritrea doesnt simply call out the US because it thinks its an evil country, it does so becuase it is the US's job to gaurantee and oversee the implementation of the final and binding ruling. instead they do the exact opposite, they create road blocks in implementation and they supply ethiopia with arms and cash. what the f***!!!!!
my family members are on the front lines becuase of this coward in addis ababa and mekele. the TPLF will be brought to justice. The EPLF taught them how to shoot guns, trained them, armed them and brought them to power with the agreement that they would share power with other ethiopians......but nooooo. they decided to stab us the back and one day they will be brought to justice.
just like eritreans marched to addis ababa to remove mengistu, we will march to addis again to remove meles. we should have finished them off in 2000 when we slaughtered half of the their entire army like sheep (unfortunately, the poor oromo peasants). For the entire border war eritrea was on defense agianst the illegal ethiopian invasion but in 2000 when their army was practically decimated after the failed port of assab offensive, our number one general "wuchu" had given message that he had broken ethiopian lines and was ready to invade ethiopia through the tigray region (meles' region). but like the little puppets that they are, they yanked the strings of their puppet masters and asked for help. America suddenly wanted eritrea to come to table for peace. its the same old story with these ethiopian cowards. lies, lies, lies... by the way you will never see the truth so long as the western press vilifies eritrea in the media with half truths and lies.
