Bullshit, CAMEL milk in Garoowe? There's no camels in Garoowe. Laughing

And if that wasn't enough, Garoowe's economy is better, and here is the ultimate proof.

Garoowe's shillings to dollar rate: 15,000:1 dollar
Beletweyn's shilings to dollar rate: 15,088:1 dollar

Garoowe earnings for unskilled laborer: 40,000 shillings
Beletweyn: earnings for unskilled laborer: 33,750 shillings
-----------------------------------------------------------------

NO COMPETITION!! You are comparing the fastest growing city in Somalia, the economic horse that is Garoowe; to BELETWEYN? A city many of us have just heard of?

Paid,

How reliable are Northeastern data Laughing I am suprised you even have a Sh.to dollar currency with that moneymaker in every household in Garowe.

The fact that there camels are sold for 4 million Sosh...says that there is a large scarcity of Camels thus prices high...in Beledweyne camels are abundant so people pay less for camel.

And its funny how you can compare the economy of cities Laughing In africa, countries cannot be compared because of unreliability of data,,,,and you want to compare cities...priceless comedy.

You think a few guys from Garoowe did this research? I'm not your cousin Hiiraanboy, I go to the best sources, not my own self-made websites.

This was done by the Facts and Stats Analysis Unit in Somalia (FSAU) in cooperation with the UN.

You'll get laughed at for thinking Beletweyn is a serious market competitor in Somalia. Laughing

Somaliweyn, actually Paidmonk did produce stats concerning standard of living. The price of crucial, everyday commodities like milk, Gas, etc. are important standard of living statistics.

In the South, markets are spread all over regions. Mogadishu market dominates, then you have Jowhar, Baidoba, Xuddur, Garbaheerey, Kismaanyo, Merca etc.

In Northeast its Garowe and Bosaso...which makes all goods and services to centre on these towns.

anyways, case closed. I am not into comparative economic analysis of Somali cities Laughing That aint my game Cool

1. We have to compete with Lascanood, Gaalkacyo, Qhardo, and Bosaso; four economic powerhouses; and yes, Qhardo is highly underrated, its a powerful city.

2. Beletweyn's closest economic rivals are Jowhar and Cabudwaaq; two towns even shittier than BW itself, and still manages to do no better than the aforementioned TOWNS.

Absolutely no competition. Smile

Cabudwaq is on the rise, and built from scratch by Sades in the diaspora.

Allah, beenlow gaan fiiri! Laughing

Those farms are in Dulbahanta land, near Buhoodle or Widhwidh, Execute posted those a few days ago. In fact those farms are a product of the Nugaal Valley region in Sool and Western Nugaal.

Here's another gallery, same area and photos:
