Free Parliament to form counter government in Jubaland?

Postby James Dahl » Fri Aug 17, 2007 10:26 am

"Abdulqadir Dhaqane, one of the Free Parliament members who is now in Buale city 400 km south of the capital, Mogadishu said that his opposition party had received a warmly welcome in southern regions of the country.

He said people in southern regions had already shown their full back up to the Islamist chiefs and the Free Parliament in Eritrea.

He said he came from Asmara, Ertrea, where the leaders of the Islamic Courts Union and the members of Somalia's sacked lawmakers were based to gain local support in the country.

The MP said the opposition groups in Asmara will hold a conference in which we will form a Somali government."
