Our Country Today: Forces of Intimidation Pour into the Cities of Hargeisa and Burao amidst an explosion at the Hargeisa Police Headquarters
A huge explosion that was heard everywhere around the city of Hargeisa at 9:30 tonight seemed to be centered at the police headquarters. No body knows the reason for the explosion or the extent of damage. Our effort to reach the Police Commissioner on the phone was unsuccessful.
It has also been noticed that battalions of army forces at the western frontiers are pouring into Hargeisa while others based at the eastern Sool region and their equipment are heading towards the second capital Burao and Hargeisa. It is not known why these army forces have been moved from their border bases into the capital cities of Hargeisa and Burao but it can only be a show of force to intimidate the public.
