BRITISH SOMALILAND that makes lot of sense

we all know what the "Star" on our "Flag" represents. The 5 regions that Somalis inhabited and they are, Italian Somaliland, British Somaliland, French Somaliland, Ethiopian Somaliland, and the NFD. Three of our regions were partitioned only leaving 2 British Somaliland and Italian Somaliland. With the gain of independence both British and Italian Somlilands joint together to form Somalia.

so what i want to know is where is this Somaliland as separate country coming from?
Somaliland means land of Somalis we all know that and didnt need Kufi Annan to tell us this.
so shouldnt they come up with a better name or use their old colonial name, like British Somaliland or better yet why not call it Northern Somaliland it makes sense.

why in the world would they choose a name like that and whats may 18th dont you have to be at war to gain independence who did you guys gain independence from?????

but it was clan on clan violence 1 clan fighting another clan. it wasnt northern somalia vs southern somalia so it doesnt make sense to have a new independence when there wasnt any major conflict as in north vs south like Korean war.

Somaliland got Independence from NSS and made NSS graduates their Leaders, The Faqash of yesterday run Somaliland Today. So effectively they never become independent
