If you can show me one example of international war law being observed by anyone in the last 7 years, I'll eat my shoes.
The idea that the postcolonial borders of Africa are sacrosanct is both incorrect (see Western Sahara, Eritrea) and not actually a law (the African leaders support the idea because it protects their own regimes, no other reason).
America invaded Iraq and effectively annexed it between 2003 and 2005, then re-created the whole edifice of governance from scratch. Regime change doesn't cover it, the country was absorbed and spun-off.
