Why not, EPLF and its junior partner TPLF did it when the socalled ''East African Powerhouse'' was defeated by Ethiopia backed by Soviet countries and weapon arsenal. EPLF and its junior partner TPLF succeeded in where the SNA failed in, they could defeat the Derg regime's army which had alot of Soviet arsenal and advisors.


The concept of a separate Somali state called ''Ogadeniya'' is as alien to our ears as the concept of ''Somaliland''. In some respects, the former is more dangerous since a clear group monopolizes the state/country which houses nearly every Somali clan. Also, Somalia has sacrificed everything whether it was money, blood and its own existence for the liberation of those lands, so in no way can we accept a separate state nextdoor Somalia.

Time will tell.

As for Hargeisa business men the only way they make money is to supply contra band goods to the people of Ogadenia from Degaxbuur to Godey, while livestock and other goods head for Hargeisa.
most of the trade is btw the Somali people.
As for Jigjiga only Ethiopian goods from Berbera ports are allowed to go in.
This comprises of a minute % while Khat from Harar is transported to Hargeis via Jigjiga.
