Why would they do this when there is no stability, all it will do is lead to conflict.

Are these guys not aware of what goes in Sudan, Nigeria, Congo etc. all of these conflicts are rooted in oil.

its about money. you have people that are not even authorized to make deals making deals left and right with foreigners using false documents for profit. corruption is everywhere in africa.

An entire army is needed to protect these guys, Puntland's security has dropped significantly to southern standards. smh.

I oppose this development, Puntland doesn't have the political nor the socio-economic foundation to handle this kind of shit. People don't realize how much of a joke this is.

Why are the Al-shabab going to invade? The Dharoor basins is not the one in dispute sxb, the Nogal basin is and that is being worked out as we speak. By the way, the gas company under taking this gas exploration got a warm wlc by elders from this area.

Puntland State of Somalia has every right to explore it's given land the land they claim to rule that falls under Puntland State. Puntland is a Friend of Somaliweyn and not an enemy. Puntland has and will always be for a Federal Government and will also fall under a strong federal Government in Mogadishu.

We will always stand strong as a State. This is just the beginning of a state that is trying to defind it's self as the heart of Somalia and the number 1 key player in Somali politics. Nothing shall stop this State from gaining wealth and leading the Somali Nation.

That's not what I said.

As long as My Uncle is Financial Minister of Puntland his excellency Mr. Gaab Gaab the revenue will reach as far as Seattle.

As for Karkaar its a reer abaatiy land they don't need real revenues as long as they get a goat once in a while.

80% of Puntland's revenue is used privately by Cadde Musse.

What makes anyone believe that oil will make things different? Puntland State is a worthless corpse, it doesn't serve the public and its leaders don't represent anyone in the region. When all the schools, hospitals, roads, and urban planning was built by civilians and NGOs, where does the Puntland administration come into the picture?

Dharoor Block exploration will go smoothly and Cadde's relatives won't even see the income, let alone the whole population of Qardo. Be aware that there will be no exploration in the Nugaal Block because the people there tend to use their heads quite often.
