"The biggest mistake Bare ever made was to alienate and disenfranchise major clans inside Somalia but give significant administrative posts to Somalis from Ethiopia and Kenya in the pursuit of an expansionist and irredentist policy. Other than his dictatorial rule, this historic policy came back to haunt the rest of Somalis."
tragic but humorous
Someone can swear Barre borrowed these tactics from Mahamed Abdulle Hassan and Maxkamadahana borrowed these tactics from Barre.
Mr. Abdulle Hassan increased his odds of losing Somalia to Foreign imperailst and their local stooges when he simultaneously waged unnecessary local/religious wars against northern and southern Somali clans, particulary when he was about to face a much bigger and smarter enemy.
The traditional somali tactics of facing the enemy:
When the enemy is at the gates, destablize the rear by settling pointless religious/old clan scores.
