Why hawiye are called hutu?

From what I understand, it has to do with the mindless nature of this tribe. I would say more so HG than others, ironically it was a hawiye man himself who coined this phrase for these people. They've held the country hostage for years, but there seems to some light under the dark hutu tunnel with the likes of sh.Sharif.
