there's nothing in the name....the O.N.L.F has never said this is an "ogaden clan" struggle, it welcome's every man and women willing to sacrifice there self for this land....the fact is the ONLF remains a predominately ogaden clan organisation because they bare the brunt of the regime's destructive and degrading policies.....to ONLF the O represents "the people and its inhabitants" not the ogaden tribe except it or discredit, it will stay that way, now the ONLF have left the door wide for the region to be renamed perhaps in the future but now certain political factor's will not allow it....OGADEN(region)-SOMALI(people), the struggle has to be indigenous hence the name ogaden a historically relevant name, when you put somali, we have the assumption of an irredenist somalia being formed once more

Koonfur is a region, Somaliland never had a problem with koonfur or the people who live there.Somaliland has no reason to be hostile against Ethiopia and Ethiopia has no reason to be hostile against Somaliland, that does not make them best buddies. What makes you so sure that the people from Somali galbeed would be willing to join Somalia, whats worse Ethiopian oppression or Somali anarchy? I am pretty sure there are people from Puntland who are willing to work for the betterment of Somalia.
