So, who controls Mogadishu?

Postby Somaliman50 » Tue Mar 10, 2009 11:44 am

The state of the nation needs another review. So far, there are four forces playing a part, there is Hisbul Islami militia, TFG+ARS militia, AU troops and freelance gunmen who are all roaming around in parts of the city. The most strategic parts like the Airport, the Seaport and KM4 are guarded by AMISOM. Then we have the industrial areas like the factories and the markets where the Hardliners are controlling it. There is the residential areas and the main roads which are patrolled by TFG+ARS militia. Lastly the suburban areas and abandoned neighbourhoods have many freelance gunmen who move around unnattacked.

these socalled "sheikhs",are a bunch of mothers.they are continually dictating to the govt.there should be no appeasment, once you give in on one point, they will demand another.

personally,i have no preference.all i desire is to see a functioning somali national govt(any govt recognised internationally),and the rule of law.
somali`s,true to form are natural born p****takers,as soon as they think they have you at a disadvantage, they start acting like they donald trump.

i heard one of theses mothers boasting on the radio that this govt is like the last one, that they cannot do anything about the situation, that it is an apostate govt.
basically, what they are saying is,submit to us otherwise there will be no peace.this is exactly what aideed and his moryaan bands demanded.in fact aideeds former financial backers are bankrolling many of these mothers.

what this govt needs to do is offer talks without conditions,if the mothers refuse,a fatwa must be obtained stating that it is halal to eliminate those(bogus sheikhs),who are spreading fitna across the land and unnecessarily prolonging the suffering of millions of destitute somali`s.

a wide scale offensive is not necasary.all that is needed is 2 man hit squads, sent deep undercover with only a pistol.these sleeper cells will spend months tracking these snakes to the lairs, swiftly despaching them to hell.
