Somali people have been lacking both local and national good leaders for the last twenty years and the temporary leaders who are now in charge of the Somali affairs lack even minimum standard of leadership qualities...He failed to display leadership in the current turmoil..his is not fit to be president ,the man is highly incompetent..

Let's give him till August 2009.

INDHACADDE I THINK AWEYS HAS GOOD LEADERSHIP SKILLS MANY CREDIT SHARIF WITH ICU SUCCESS BUT I THINK AWEYS WAS THE MAN BEHIND IT.

I THINK WE NEED A NEW FACE, SURELY WE HAVE SEEN THAT LEADERS FROM THE DIASPORA ARE NO BETTER THAN THOSE IN SOMALIA.

Sh Xassan Dahir Aweys wants to play a game that is beyond our means. We need some-one sensible.

Like Twisted_Logic just said we need a strong man that can stay in Mogadishu and fight. These folks from the Diaspora will shit in their pants one night in Mogadishu marka don't expect a person from the Diaspora to lead Somalia.

The closest we had to a Strong man to tamed Mogadishu was A/Y but he went wrong with bringing in Ethiopians.

there is no doubt Maslax can manage the country

i think he will have to cooperate with Alshabab and they cant attack him if he brings a completely different system(not TFG or 4.5) and im sure they will work for him if he gives a good first impression.(grow a beard and wear cimaamad)

maslax......... i dont think al-shabab or the other islamist will be down with that...if you put maslax in, then there has to be a military solution to the problem(islamists vs maslax), if their is to be a peaceful settlement their needs to be a leader with some islamic backround interms of knowledge.

He was high on Abu Ealay's Protein shake when he made those comments

Perhaps we are cursed and and need someone from Siyad Barre's kin to take the Presidency to bring the curse to an end.
