al-itihad al islami today has transformed into what u call salafi jadid or the new salafi
and they changed their name into al-shabab, and maxaakim

if u wanna know more about their ideology read about the egyptian ikhwan al-muslimin
and the Egyptian author sayid sabiq who is considered the father of the ideologies of these militant groups
