With Puntland, there is optimism within the international community regarding Somalia. Without Puntland, a new term needs to be coined to describe Somalia, the term "Failed State" is too liberal.

It would be good for the South for Puntland to go its way. Somalia without puntland would be Somalia with nationalistic Somalis with the exception of the former Italian slaves and hookers, the abgaal bantus.
