Allahu aclam. Culamaa should really research these kind of things more and make ijtihaad to update fiqh using it's maqaasid and usuul to go with modern technology and the possibilities it opens, like using DNA-tests etc... Unfortunately this is an aspect that doesn't get the attention it needs.
