lets be realistic Galia the shabaab in Xamar are almost Hawiye and its funny the way some hawiye pretend to be supporters of Sharif while Sharif himself is protected by Amisom where are the Sahrif supporters in Xamar?
I mean I dont think the Hawiye supporters of Sharif are genuine they only exisit in the media.

If hawiye realy supported Sharif then Shabaab would have been removed from Xamar in few hours.

It sounds as though they split along clan lines, but which clans? It just said Hawiye and D&M.

I've drawn up a map based on the explanation of the division.

Now Shabaab is split down clan lines, their ride is soon gonna be over.

I thought Rahanweyn were in the same boat as Darood and I thought they were especially hostile to Hawiye if anything.

The future is gonna be hazy.

It's the familiar problem that Somalis will unite in order to take down an enemy, but when the issue of power sharing comes up, that unity dissolves.

It looks as though this is a split between the original, founding powerbloc of the UIC, the Digil, Mirifle and Hawiye, who are unhappy about how much power they would have in a new Islamic administration and have split off to form Milatu Ibrahim. Surprizingly the reports I have heard have most of the foreign warriors joining Milatu Ibrahim.

hawiye is very confused and under siege from every corner, perfect time to dissolve the clan federation called hawye once and for all, lets take the capital out their destructive hands and relocate it in a save and secure place

James, this is the strangest turn of events, I truly can't make sense of it.

So now its the hardline SOMALI (mostly Darood) Shabaabists vs. moderate Rahanweyn/Hawiye with hardline foreign elements.

This is so confusing it has to be fake.

If its true, Shabaab is over. Marehan will return to take Gedo, and will resume fighting over Kismayo with Absame & Harti elements as the Islamic administration of Kismayo flees into exile.
