I'm glad to see someone thinking here. Look at all these cheerleaders, living in the West, eating 5 meals a day. they wouldn't spend one minute actually sfighting or even spending money on these groups, yet here they all are casting lots picking teams as if its the friggin super bowl. Shabab and the TFG two shitty entities.

Shabab is on a crusade that wont stop and its plan doesnt seem feasible, poor somali's dont care about Al-qaeda and whats happening in Saa'da or Pakistan nor do they really care about Usama bin laden or Zawahiri, all they want is there state to be releived of its hapless state so they can live normal lives, and Shababs objectives or plans dont fall in line with this.There loosing support each day because they have failed to understand what the Somali people need, yes Islam is one but they have taken the same approach as the groups before them that have failed. Our religion is one of mercy not Boom-Boom, Your an Infidel and your an infidel, etc

The TFG is an institution been forced down the throats of Somali's by World powers essentially by blocking out groups such as Shabab and labelling them as unapproachable, mainly based on there fear of the rise of Islamism which can alter/Tilt the political landscape of the world.However the TFG will never work with its complex mixture of Political figures with there condescending attitudes and lack of empathy with the somali people and the concept of statehood, the TFG has some good folks but those who have robbed the Somali nation of its potential and its assets continue to keep them hostage.The TFG's 4.5 system, its mammoth parliament ,and its antagonistic list of sub-groups who put nothing but either there stomach or there kin first hampers its advance.The TFG can work when it starts working based on merit and not clan or political affiliation.


Since the coming battle is enevitable i support Cabdi Mahdi and the formation of Jubbada hoose Administration with the support of the populace who will then send representatives of there liking to represent them on the national stage.

Great analysis, agree 100% except for the last part. Personally I will never support any Somali entity, unless I'm truly convinced they will bring a Government to Somalia, and repair Somali's dignity.

In any case, the biggest problem with SOmali people is the short-term memory. At the end of the day Shabaab and these Islamists are grass roots and will pop up as soon as they pipe down. Even if the TFG defeats them militarily in battle, the TFG will lose the long term war because as someone else said they are nothing more than illiterate and corrupt warlords and ex-warlords and tribal bureacrats who are not interested in a functioning government and will never amass the grassroots support, long term discipline, and the morale and desire to keep the fight up.
