How could that possibly be a good thing? Is'nt that the "Look I was colonised by white people" club? That is embarrasing, especially since we were'nt even colonised we were a protectorate, they just hung around berbera and hargeisa doing absolutely nothing for us or against us.

Being part of the commonwealth is pretty useless, besides taking part in a poor mans olympics every four yrs.

Btw, a protectorate is where a country (i.e. GB) takes control of another country's (i.e. SL) trade (i.e. berbera & bullaxaar). Whereas a colony is where a country (i.e. GB) takes control (the whole country) of another country (i.e. Kenya) and has settlement's there.

London (Qarannews):- Mr. Abdilaziz Mohamed Samale, Deputy Speaker of the Somaliland parliament took part in a conference of the parliamentarians from the Commonwealth of nations and other invited parliamentarians held in London, UK, between January 31st and February 6th, 2010.

Speaking to members of the Somaliland media in London, Mr. Samale stated that the "meeting of the Commonwealth parliamentarians focused on the strengthen of security and democracy in member nations and specially invited participants, including Somaliland"

During the duration of his participations in the meetings, Mr. Samale met with the Speaker of the House of Parliament, Mr. John Bercow and the Speaker of the Irish parliament (Dáil Éireann) Mr. Seamus Kirk.

Mr. Abdilaziz Mohamed Samale, Deputy Speaker of the Somaliland parliament also met with various parliamentarians from the Commonwealth and other guest nations to discuss areas of mutual interest between their respective nations.

Mr. Samale was accompanied by another member of the Somaliland parliament during the conference which was held in the Houses of Parliament complex in Westminster, London
