I agree. I would evaluate though the implications if an Al Shabaab type movement decided to activate in the region, in order to defend what may seem as complicitness in Palestinian persecution.

You’re right stimulating local upraising hiding behind illusion religious movement like shadaadiin is the last thing Somaliland needs. But I would still entertain diplomatic dialog with Israel.

Def. Can't hurt to align yourself with a winner. And Israel IS a winner. As long as security concerns will be met. And with U.S/Israeli backing, i'm sure they will be.

I have been to tel aviv Isreal Nice beaches and friendly people. I welcome that Somaliland goverment does business with isreal. Even the Prophet Muhammed saw did business with jewish people. 6 Million jews are keeping 60 million arabs at bay.
