Dawwa, siad bare tried to stop those demonstrations in the UK and tried to stop the news reaching backhome at laanta Afka- Somaliga ee BBC-da but he failed and they always use to protest outside the somalia embassy in UK , rageedis.

“Intaan SNM lagu dhawaaqin, waxaanu qolooyinkayagii Ingiriiska joogay lahayn urur la odhan jiray Somali Welfare Organization, oo ahaa urur aanu ku caaridi jirnay dawladii Siyaad Barre, Mudaharaado joogto ah ayaanu sannad iyo dheeraad magaca ururkaas ku samayn jirnay, Maalinta Sabtida iyo Axadda oo xaggaas fasax ah ayaanu mudahraad ku samayn jirnay safaaradii ay dawladii Siyaad Barre ku lahayd London, wakhtiyadaas safiiradii joogay waxa ka mid ahaa Axmed Maxamed Aadan (Qaybe) oo imika Hargeysa jooga. Markaas mudaharaadyadaas aanu Siyaad Barre ku bilownay waxay ku noqotay dhimbiil dab ah, dawladiisu waxa ay xoogeeda isugu gaysay in mudaharaadkaas la joojiyo, haddii aan mudaharaadka la joojin karayn waa in la joojiyo warka mudaharaadka ku saabsan ee ka soo baxayay laanta Afka Somaliga ee BBC-da ayay tallo ku gaadhay."

Ganjaweed this is just a historic topic i don't know why some people feel offended by those anti - siad bare board messages, it's clear even the Qurbo Joogo disliked siad bare and his policies alot and were against his regime & played a big part in financing SNM to Guul.

Brother, they can sugar-coat him, cover him in spice and all things nice. It doesn't change the fact that he was a ruthless murderer who killed his own people. I don't really see the point in making this thread because it will only end up as another qabiil-bashing fest.

Vast majority of Somalis outside of the nation at that time were exiles. People who had committed treason against their nation. Of course they were antis.

Siyaad Barre was a totalitarian dictator and the Somalis who choose to live abroad before the civil war broke out were the smart ones who foresaw the crisis which was bound to happen
