Siyaad Baare, A Somali Hero and Lion.

Postby Basra- » Mon Nov 29, 2010 10:51 pm

A photo essay interpretation. The following photo--shows a young man in his early 20s, thin, long face, bold, avant garde military hair style, and an upright posture that shows confidence and gravitus. He stands at the back of the group, totally in the dark, far away from the camera flashlight. He shows little interest for attention to himself, had his a trimmed moustache showing his grooming manluness. He is a lion cub in the making.

The following photo shows a professional millitary man, years after the above ambitious military kid in the making of a lion. Here sits a lion of steel and roaring noise of masculinity. A lion ready to devour you if you mess with him.

The third and last photo shows a man loved and among his comrades. Years of public service, relaxed in his holiday attire, laughing, disarmed, smiling his heart out as he hears cheers of LONG LIVE BAARE! LONG LIVE BAARE!

I have a soft spot for the guy: he was raised by his mother in an occupied region, joined the army, became a general and then ruled a country for 21 years. Talk about work your butt off, rag rag dhalay :som:

I don't understand why he's standing at the back, he was the second in command, only General Daud was his superior.
