Caydiid was a politician. There was no point talking tough to the iidoors when he was busy fighting on numerous fronts in the koonfur. Had he been able to stabilize the rest of the country, he would have gone after Somaliland rest assured. The general was a somali patriot. You can't be a somali patriot and supposed entities like SL

I think he was led down by his own people , he makes good sense compare to
most somali politicians , he was right about northerners they were treated bad
and they didn't want to separate rest of the country but south was just chaos
and merciless towards the north .

My question is caydiid was seen as warlord but not general ,but after listening
this interview he sounds someone who wanted to be good leader if it wasn't for
his own people that killed him, why he ended up as looser but not as a icon ?

Ungrateful Hawiye who backstabbed the general when it was he who saved their ass repeatedly. Now these ungrateful bitches are regretting their decision to rebel against the General. Had they not backstabbed him, he would have conquered the country :som:

Caydiid- The best leader we never had

caydiid only cared about habar gidir he did not give shit about the rest of hawiye. caydiid back stabbed his allies when he had no more use for them. caydiid came at a time when most somalis hated siyad berra and marehans even the fellow daroods hated marehan so he allied himself with majerteen, ogadeen, isaq, hawiye and rahweeyn. now when siyad barre was overthrown most poeple were ready to accept him but he shot himself in the foot by first killing innocent marehan children and women. after he slaughtered the marehans in mogadishu started the flee and while they were fleeing his allies the rahaweyn started to kill and rape women and children. now here comes to intresting part how did caydiid repay his ally the rahaweyn? he refused to allow the UN to go to baidabo when innocent rahaweyn women and children were starving to death. he also tried to invade gaalkacyo. and he went to war with his ally ali mahdi. caydiid would have slaughtered isaqs if he had the chance.

Caydiid was a brute, but had the hawiye traitors not backstabbed him, he would have conquered the country or at least a good portion of it, and we would have avoided a lot of the mess were seeing. Al-shabaab are a direct consequence of years of lawlessness created out of the fitnah in the 90s.
