Somalia: Parliamentarians accuse foreign warships of supporting pirates
Some members of Somalia’s transitional federal parliament on Tuesday charged foreign warships off Somalia coasts with supporting and helping Somali pirates who bedevil in using Somalia’s coast basins.
Suleyman Mohammed Ibrahim, a Somali MP, said international naval forces off Indian Ocean are making possible for Somali pirates to attack ships and kidnap them very far away from Somalia waters.
Mr. Ibrahim spelled out that foreign naval forces are robbing Somali fishes and other important sea resources, adding that they dump the remnant wastages from nuclear to Somalia coats which he said are very hazard to the health of societies.
For his part, the lawmaker, Mohammed mohamoud Heyd talked about the problems which international warships have had on Somalia, saying that Somali pirates are the nation’s coastguards.
