Yeah they do. They live in Ceelwaaq. However the ones that are claimed to be fighting in this battle are actually from Ethiopia in the Liban region(Mooyaale, Negeyle, Filtu etc.)

Ximan is right though. This story is probably fake and Al Shabab propaganda that Garre militias are taking part of this war. It is just to appeal to the residents emotions by telling them that other clans are invading their lands.

There are no Garre in Luuq and they have never lived there. The only place they live in Gedo is Ceelwaaq. Luuq used to be shared between Marexaan and Gasaargude however since the last few decades the Gasaargude moved away to Bakool in fear of Marexaans killing them after the Baydhabo wars in 1990s.

There are no Garre in Luuq and they have never lived there. The only place they live in Gedo is Ceelwaaq. Luuq used to be shared between Marexaan and Gasaargude however since the last few decades the Gasaargude moved away to Bakool in fear of Marexaans killing them after the Baydhabo wars in 1990s.

Dude I am from there and I know the history of my region. Garre wallahi never lived in Luuq. Maybe one or two families when Somalis isku darsameen. And no Garre and Raxanwein do not speak the same language. Garre in Ceelwaaq speak Afaan Oromo while the Gasaargude for the most part speak in Af Somali and Maaymaay. By the way even the Gasaargude do not live in Luuq anymore.

loool, a eelay person is telling me who lives in my region. War bax. This is my region and i know who lives in my region. Garre live in NFD and Itoobiya, and Garre live in Elwak of Kenya only and some garre families live in Ceelwaaq of Gedo. Btw Garre don't live anywhere out of Ceelwaq, i don't where u got Luuq ganaane from, ur funny wallahi.
