NY24,

From Marexaan elders in Gedo, there were major wars between Marexaan and Booraan first, then Garre along with Degoodiye. both clashed with Marexaan a very long time ago in Gedo and they were both pushed towards NFD.

They still lived in Celwaaq always though along with Marexaan but then they clashed with Calidheere (Marexaan) and that is where Yuusuf Kaanti (TFG Mp now) got involved and after awhile more Marexaan got involved and there was a peace agreement signed in 2005. Aside from Celwaaq though they do not have communities elsewhere in Gedo, they live in Moyaale district Kenya, and some in Liibaan. Either way since the peace agreement there have been no problems.

OOh God, here we go again. Does Garre live in Gedo? Does Rooti live in Foorno? Does Geed live in Dhulka? Guys, get over it. Qabyaalad is the reason why our country is in a mess. We have to understand that Qabil diversity or Diversity in general is a good thing for Somalia. Diversity creates innovative ideas, cultural enlightment, education and development. We need to get rid of this narrow-minded "Geeljire" mentality where the whole world surrounds around their Qabil and Tribal land. Sheesh!

If have envy trust me i would envy puntland and somaliland
Again why does this bother you so much?
Why wouldn't it bother me? People talking about my region in the general section will afcourse make me hostile, but i feel sorry 4 u for attention seeking.
Are you a man or 13 yr old indian girl? why would people talking your region get to you, considering you do nothing but talk about banadir all day.Man up or shut it.
Why are you attention seeking? Get of our affairs nacalatyahay or speak like man and discuss ur so called genuine question in Gedo section. U qabil obsessed piece of shit. Marehan baad ku walatay.

LOL@does rooti live foorno. My response to this topic was not motivated by qabyaalad. I was merely trying to answer a question and in the process educate the asking party (whatever their intentions were) about the demographics of my region. No wrong in that.

I put Garre along with Cashike and other sort of frigne Somali/Oromo groups. Theres a Garre family in my town and these guys do not speak af soomali (not may may either). They speak some wierd sort of language I'm not sure if its oromo or something. I think the Garre oo la soo dhaqmo Soomalis speak Soomalis and the ones that don't are their own group or assimilate.
