I am more currious of the relationship between the pirates and Al-shabab. Farmaarjo God bless him presented a real good arguement to the UN and the US in his recent meetings with them.
1. He managed to deliver sufficient pressure on Pland to evict Saracen from puntland.
2. He has requested all financial aid to puntland to be allocated back to moqadishu and the end of the dual track abroach that has simply caused a gulf to emerged between moqadishu and gerowe.
3. Farmaarjo has present a strong arguement making tangible links between pirates and shabab and ilustrated the propability of shabab using pirates to hijack an oil tanker and use it as a terroro weapon.
4. In order to better manage the influx of all the illegal weapons coming into shabab's hands he has requested Bossaso's traffic should be controlled from moqadishu or at least they should have a role in the monitoring of all the ports activities.
Farmaarjo is a Pirate killer... Serious this man is on a mission to dismantle Pland adminsteration and fully tranfer governance of pland back to moqadishu.
Viva Farmaarjo

Who is your Dady... hehe
It is pure PS that Somali Coast Guard (SCG) (aka pirates) are only based in PL. They have a strong presence in Harardheere, Hobyo, and other Somali towns. To the eyes of many Somalis, the SCG is defending the Somali honour despite the missteps and unless the countries that are violating Somali territorial waters stop their illegal and devastating acts on the Somali coast, it is natural for every one to understand that the SCG will continue its operations.
The link between Al-Shabaab and SCG is nonexistant whereas the link between Al-Shabaab leaders who hail from Somaliland, Somaliland government, and the Dahabshiil company is proven.
PM Farmaajo's efforts in the UN last week and his speech did not link PL to the pirates but since the west has so much empathy towards Al-Shabaab and the SCG, he was pointing out the rebuilding of Somali security forces including the navy is what can alleviate the security concerns that the west has towards Somalia.
