Atrocities of the 80's

Postby ZubeirAwal » Tue Mar 29, 2011 6:19 am

Reer isaaq, the most patriotic somali's out there just to see those people come out in numbers in 26 june 1960 :( :sland:

The white guy says "After 2-3 days of bombing, the civilians couldn't take it, so they buried their possesions and left the cities, in a BIBLICAL manner, but when the Govt found out that they stored their possesions, they put land mines in those spots, so when the civilians returned, they were killed in those land mines."
"When i came to hargeisa in janurary 1991, the scene was of something like hiroshima, the city was systematically looted, everything right down to the hinges of the doors, and windows, were looted."

Yh people would bury their most prized (small) posessions, coming back and being unable to find it. For example a lot of women lost all their gold after burying it and being unable to find/remember where they buried it or it had been found. Wealthy people would dig inside their houses and bury their cash deep underneath the house. So if your out and about in Somaliland you never know what may be there. :(
