“The ministry of foreign affairs.. has the honor to convey Mr. Scott Campell and Ms. Sandra Beidas Persona Non-Grata from Henceforth”, the letter said.

“The UN Human rights committee did not accomplish all the agreements concerning the rights of Somali people and rebuild of the rights and legal agencies. This government has refused to attend useless Nairobi meetings, and is now banning UN officials interested in hurting Somalia rather than helping. Each day my confidence in the coming nationhood increases.

If they are showing this much madax banaani (independence) even in this weak state, imagine a normal functioning nation? It would be following the legacy of Aabe Siyaad's strong Somali-first policy. Other Somali entities could sure use role models for how to get that age old Somali self-respect back.

Somalia is a cow cash for the UNPOS based in Nairobi. They go around the world begging in Somalia's name and use that to enjoy luxurious lifestyle in Nairobi's posh hotels and resorts. They have no interest in peace if they did they would long moved to Mogadishu. If the TFG and parliamentarians can lie there protected by AMISOM, why can't they make a green zone like exists in Iraq and Afghanistan. UN is part of the problem in Somalia.

This makes no sense, Somalia under Siad Barre was just a giant UN experiment. Even "Bar ama Baro" was run by WFP; practically the entire countryside was a giant WFP lab. World Bank, IMF and other culprits were also rife in the country. Siad Barre didn't do anything, he just opened the country for aid dumpers and people naively viewed it as progress. Somalia was going nowhere quick under Siad Barre.

Monk, the beauty of the internet is a 9 year old could write something and expect to be taken seriously. First you don't understand the difference between getting help and selling your soul for it, secondly, and as usual, your understanding of Somalia's modern history begs a lot to be desired.

The diaspora group took a calculated risk when they realized the UN is about to overthrow their father, Sheik Sharif. The good thing about this gamble is that they've got nothing to lose. Ever heard win win situation? They'll either prevail and get they they want (more years in office) or a good excuse to leave that hell hole with their heads up, update resumes and get back to heir 9-5 jobs in the west.

I personally hate UN business in Somalia and anyone who wants to challenge them is my friend. I called one of the ministers few minutes ago after I saw this to congratulate them for having the guts to challenge their employer. I hope they didn't shoot themselves in the foot.
