Prime Minister Farmajo literally begs UN Scurity Council...

Postby Somalian_Boqor » Thu May 12, 2011 8:47 am

CEEB!

After they listen to him beg for 15mins about how he created a competent world class cabinet, defeated Al Shabaab in many parts of the country. Appointing ministerial committee to end TFG political deadlock. And further begged the UN not to accept parliament extension, because if that happens his government’s mandate will be over in august this year. And finally asking for his Executive part of the Government to be extended.

This is what they said:

The council urged the holding of elections for the positions of president and speaker of parliament before the transition period ends in August.

Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed rejected the extension of time by Somali Parliament calling it unconsulted and unconstitutional. He rather admitted that his government’s mandate will be over in august this year.

The Somali prime minister told the United Nations Security Council that his government defeated Islamists in many parts of the country.

“ We believe that the UN has the mandate to protect the International Law, the Somali people and the International community cannot accept the extension of time by Parliament, which is unconstitutional”. The Premier was quoted as saying.

“ I appointed a ministerial committee to end the political deadlock and we asked to meet with the legislators, we still hope that the Executive and the legislators will come together “. He added.

Mohamed asked the UN to give his government more time to get a domestic solution for the Somali crisis.

The Prime minister also commended the role of the Somali Diaspora in nation-building saying that many of them came home and started investing the country since he took office. /Allah horta ain't this a pure lie. Well Farmajo cadi ma aha

His speech came after The council expressed concern at the tension between the executive and legislative branches of the Transitional Federal Government.

The council urged the holding of elections for the positions of president and speaker of parliament before the transition period ends in August.
