Bosaso, Somalia - the Gritty City (photos)

Postby Monk-of-Mogadishu » Sun May 29, 2011 12:54 am

What a gritty city, full of hustlers, from small-time gas sellers to hoteliers, its like Somalia's Hong Kong, and the only place in Somalia where GDP per capita is on par with Djibouti, all of it earned on a street level. 8-)

Example of why somali people do better without presidents and oppression.

I was in there 1998 and i don't recognise a single picture you posted. Mashallah and alhamdllillah may allah keep the people free from the ignorance of politicians.

masha-allah it looks good in Somali standards. but compared to other world cities it looks poor and un-organised..all we need to do is clean the city build sidewalks and the roads need to be improved and it would become a great city in the future insha-allah,,,I wouldnt mind helping them to improve the city I have some great idea's and visions but no financial means to support and I dont know who to speak to inorder to help them and give them my idea's and visions on how to improve the city.
