Not Quite. Previously Somaliland enjoyed the support of 2 out of 3 major dhulbahante subclans that inhabit Laascaanood. Today that support has dwindled significantly. Even the brother of Xaabsade has come out strongly against Somaliland. Boorama is under state of emergency as the Gadabuursi population have become increasingly restive. Their diaspora has created Awdal State and inside the country the GAdabuursi youth have organized superbly to mount a non-violent anti Somaliland campaign. 5 Youths were jailed 2 days ago by the Somaliland Secret Police.

The election of Siilaanyo was the decisive element in this unravelling of the Somaliland project. Couple things you missed out in your hasty summary..
- Dhulbahnte dont have a united from and so its been the case that at any given time some would be with SL and others against. However, on Riyaales watch las anood was not always under the control of SL, it is under the current admin and this is not likely to change. Just as Riyaale had franchised the so has Silanyo to insure that region stays faithful.
-The Gudabursi are unhappy as is expected because they lost the election, just like HJ were when they lost they election. What ever minor rumblings that happening in that region is nothing major, just alot of people coming to terms with learning the inner workings of a democracy. Once the elections are back and voting begins all will be back to normality.
-Riyaale and many of his corrupt officials were like you faqash educated and there dislike of SNM stemmed from this, and no other reason. The new admin has made alot of people who were holding back progress purposefully unhappy as they have been removed or sidelined. Your sympathy for these people is nothing but crocodile tears.
-Berbera port is no qabils property but state property and anybody who disagrees with this will get the same treatment as those terrorist SSC did.
-Your initial assumption which my ego and jamac waal brain did not wish to correct is that; The Somaliland president might be HJ but he represents all Somaliland interest and not any qabil. The fighting between Solomadow and the rebel SSC was a perfect example of a statesman putting country before qabil. But you being a bitter Dhulbahnte will never accept any good can come out of a HJ, not when one who died 60 years ago wont get peace from you..
