From a Northern perspective, I have to admit that Cabudwaaq is indeed LARGE. In fact, it's amongst the only 3 cities in CENTRAL Somalia that is known.

1. Cabudwaaq
2. Beledwayne
3. Baidoba.

I mean, from Seylac to Raskamboni, they know, heard of Cabudwaaq.

There is a famous Somali proverb in Ceerigaabo:

"Allow, ya intu gugursada Cabudwaaq ku geya"

Translated as in:

"Oh, how luck you would be, if you get married and resettled in Cabudwaaq".

Your nothing in the North and your opinion is irrelvent, and no, we northerners dont consider Cabudwaaq anything special worth remembering or putting a mah-mah after it..

King of awdal according to wikipeadia, balanbale is the third largest city in Galgaduud.

Balanbale or Balanbal (various spelling) is a district of the central region of Galguduud, in Somalia. Balanable is the third largest city in Galgudud. Two largest towns being Abudwak and Dhusa Mareb central Somalia.

XimanJaale, like you said sxb you are reer Gedo. "Galgaduud" only takes orders from 2 main tribes and two minority tribes; Marehan and Habar Gidir, with Murusade and Duduble coming in after them. Ceel-Dheere iyo waxuu sheegayo ninkaan are an extension of Cadale and Warsheikh from Shabellada Dhexe. They do not share history with the region, they do not share culture with the region, they do not share accent with the region, and they are not part of the psychological understanding of the region even if the southeastern line of the map swoops in to the Benadir coast.

Caabudwaaq and Dhusa-mareb are the two centers of the region and Caabudwaaq trumps Dhusa-Mareb as the most principal town in the region which is why Caabudwaaq is consistently the most chosen city for meetings, plannings, and organization, and even base when unity of the region is considered

Dude why are you implying shit i didnt say on to me? When the hell did i even talk about your Clan or where they live. I just went to see the Map to double check if Hiiraan had a coast and Wikipedia to check about where this new federal state will be located at and Wikipedia has the districts for all the State's so quit trying to involve me in your cyber war.

When did i ever say anything about a Port to begin with? I never stated Mudug or Galgadud have a port so quit jumping the gun. I just thought Hiiraan also had a coast and that's where i made the mistake as for a Port well many places dont have it. You need a functioning Goverment or prior infrastructure to have a port.

Just curious why would you be against your Clan Joining this state if it ever comes to reality? You live in the state so would it not make sense for you to get your piece of the pie?

For the simple fact that it doesn't contribute anything to us. It has ZERO economic potential, ZERO Strategic value, landlocked and doesn't have the political value to last as it is simply a response to Al Shabab threat- the entire thread even holding this "state" is Al Shabab once it is gone so is this fantasy project. Why would we even sacrifice our domination of this state's coastal areas and wealth not to forget the exports of the Shabelle Valley produce with the rest of Northern Somalia while getting nothing out of it? It is a useless creation by a disfranchised groups to give them an entry to Somali politics and social significance- it doesn't appeal to us.

I am Mudulood Hiraab- leaders of Hawiye why would someone's opinion matter to me? Besides, who is this Habar Gidir you talk of? Sacad Saciid has Galmudug, Reer Haji Saleeban has Xiiman & Xeeb and Saruur's destiny is tied with Waceysle? You are making this fantasy project into something it is not and will never been. It's another JVA for the CEYR and they will throw you under the bus and jump into the next thing as soon as its beneficial for them as they did in Kismayo in 2006.
