what should regional leaders be called

Postby Sagaashan » Fri Oct 14, 2011 8:58 am

This might be a minor issue in Somalia'a political quagmire, but i believe there is something fundamentally wrong with calling regional leaders 'madaxweyne', it gives rise to a false equivalency and hope while at the same time diminishing and denigrating the highest office in the land. calling 'madaxweyne' to faroole, siilaanyo, and caaliin takes away the reverence and the constitutional powers entrusted to the real president of Somalia, shiekh shariif sh ahmed, who is responsible for all subjects in Somalia and has the final authority to engage international agencies and institution. to alleviate this problem, i think all regional leaders should be called 'madaxyare' henceforth. for example;

madaxyare Faroole oo Garowe ka ambabaxay, Madaxyare Siilaanyo oo Gambdha booqday :clap:

The whole structure is completely wrong. Somalia already has 18 regions, and each region are further divided into districts. Each region should have a Governor, vice governer and the local adminstration (dowlada hoose) like it used to be.

Of course people like you have no problem seeing a former Taxi driver as a "president". But the rest of us are trying to have a reasonable discussion here. So if i was you, i would go back to the Puntland section and continue to edit all the "anti" puntland posts. Go on :up: :D

Wallahi I cringe when I hear the title president of a regional maamul. Even if I was a leader of one I would not want that title. It's ceeb to beg it when you don't run a country.

Probably gudoomiye.

They should be labeled "madaxa sheegatada ah".

example/tusaale:

madaxa sheegatada ah ee ka arimiya tuulada_______ ayaa lagu soo waramayaa inuu digir ku quraacday saakay.

Yeah but isn't it insulting that sheekh shariif is called the president of somalia when he only controls parts of mogadishu, he should be called madaxweynaha nus mogadisho

:lol: That is true, its amazing.

But what if the people of that region do not even see the President of Somalia as their President? And they didnt see the constitution you mentioned.

^^^^^^ I think what your describing is called " mass delusions of grandeur".
To a man, they`re all well dressed beggars.
