Grant them full independence and let them be on their merry way.

The seeds of Somaliland patriotism has already been planted longtime ago. A turn back is unlikely.

Respect the wishes of the :som: loving people then you will be treated the same, if you chose to behave like Israelis then using the hammer and sickle as our guidance we shall politically be an obstacle.

Mutual respect.

LOL.. Only if Landers can let go of their grudges.

Have you been to Somaliland before?

Because there you will find a shot down military aircraft in the heart of Hargeisa and men under it with their kids telling them of the atrocities the evil southerners committed to them 20 years ago.

It was not evil southerners it was the faqash government, and its gone.

Gurey,

Abti, the narrative told to the kids is that evil southerners went to war with Somalilanders. The narrative makes it a South Vs North conflict and excludes the fact the sizeable faqash were indeed from the north.

As for Somaliland's independence, I am for it but AGAINST breaking up families. Stop breaking up with the Harti familia :D

Gurey,

The faqash government is equal to southerners in somaliland. In hargeisa, if ur a southerner, they treat u like ur a faqash.

I've been there 3 times and my reer abtis and everyone in that country all looked down upon the southerners due to them being brainwashed that it was southerners who r their enemy

Does no one teach these kids and the populace there that it was a noble southerner and Hawiye , named Maxamed Farah Aidid who got rid of Faqashism and got rid of the man that was brutally. Killing Somalis of some clans??

sadly its the current political environment..

mopst southerners even hawiye are against somaliland..

which means they are an enemy...

rightly percieved as an enemy..

this has nothing to do with the faqash government..

its to do with this attitude..
