Ethiopian troops enter Somali town of Guriceel

Postby The_Emperior5 » Sun Nov 20, 2011 10:42 am

MOGADISHU, Somalia — Witnesses say a convoy of Ethiopian troops has entered the Somali town of Guriel in a possible attempt to open a third front against al-Qaida-linked Somali insurgents.

The incursion appears to be the largest movement of Ethiopian troops into Somalia since an unpopular Ethiopian invasion.
Resident Ali Husein says that 21 vehicles carrying troops arrived in Guriel Sunday afternoon.
Sheik Abdulle Abdi said Sunday that the Ethiopians met with members of his militia, then moved into an army base in the south of Guriel. Abdi belongs to Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jama, which is allied to the weak U.N.-backed Somali government.
Ethiopian officials denied entering Somalia. They entered the country in 2006 to defeat an Islamist movement but left in 2009 as part of a peace deal.

It is in the hands of ahlu suufi on behalf of amxaaro.
Unfortunately their good reputation has been shattered into dust.

Time will tell.

But wait a minute we all know the Awj are an Amxaaro supported faction why then did the Ethiopia Federal Military enter Guriceel.

They are trying to get the suufis on board. A coalition of ethiopians and suufis heading towards strongholds of shabaab in Galgaduud/Hiiraan.

suufis will use this golden chance.
On their own they are obviously weak to beat irhaabis, but things might change now.

Ethiopia has always wanted a weak Somalia which it could always attack on will. That’s why it created and supported the SNM. It’s hypocritical for former SNM supporters to be now against Ethiopia.

I don`t understand why the Ethiopians are always denying that there`s actually Ethiopian troops inside Somalia :?: Do they not know Somalis iyo afweynidoda? they will tell straight away, they even counted the numbers of vehical and shit

Kind of sad, Somalias being ripped apart by some gaajo 3rd world countries, and all this because we can`t seem to agree on the smallest thing. I say bring em all in, Ethiopia,Kenya,Uganda ALL kuligod, let them get their piece of the pie, illen Somalis are obviously to busy killing each other. Alshabab is cancer, they have brought this upon the poor people of the South, inkaari idinku dhacday idamalle.
