The War Front So Far

Postby galia » Sat Jan 07, 2012 6:17 am

Ok, Hawiye TFG forces managed to kick out the Khawariiij Pigs from Beledweyne city. Which is a huge victory, in that we not only have complete control of the city but neighbouring towns. The people of Beledweyne are strongly with us, as well as the Xawadle clan ferociously fighting the Khawariij and using this opportunity.

The Khawariij Pigs have also fled Buloburte town, which is Hiiraans second largest city.

So for TFG Hawiye forces the next key remaining targets are:
-Jowhar
-Afgoye: This town is very important for us and we must soon liberate it
-Merca

Merehan TFG forces have taken over almost all of Gedo, Ogaden TFG forces have also made some small gains at a very slow pace.
Key remaining targets are
-Afmadow
-Kismayoo
-Bay and Bakool region

However there is fierce fighting in Gedo and Jubba regions and Merehan TFG forces have this morning taken over another village from al shabaab

Al-shabab seems to be giving Darood TFG forces more resistance than Hawiye TFG forces, this i do not know as to why.

Government visits, Beledweyne which has been successfully liberated by Hawiye TFG forces

Those berets are worn by the regular Somali army, a TFG soldier in Mogadishu to the right
