Why WE should not support the terrible "Kampala accord"

Postby Coeus » Wed Jan 11, 2012 9:26 am

1. We fully Support and welcome the appointment of Hon. Madobe Nunow Mohamed as the new speaker of Somalia’s Transitional Parliament.

2. Parliament of Somalia is fully mandated by the federal charter of 2004 as the highest legislative organ of Government and can repeal and reject any act apart from acts that need a referendum.

3. The Kampala Accord was declared NULL and VOID on the floor of parliament considering that it was only a memorandum of understanding between four people only and cannot be said to be fully representing the Somali Parliament. In finality the Kampala Accord was not owned by the Somali people and Parliament.

4. The ‘Road-Map’ lacks clarity on constitutional matters considering that it does not include Somaliland in Somalia which violates the unity and integrity of Somalia.

5. We advocate for elections of Multiparty system of democracy rather than the ‘Selection process’ of parliamentarians along 4.5 rule or clan basis

6. We see that the roadmap violates Somali EEZ and Territorial Integrity. (Part of our Sea territory goes to kenya according to this Roadmap)

7. We call upon the International Community to support the constitution of 1960 as the basis for the electoral role in the forthcoming elections.

8. The Roadmap advocates for the SELECTION process while we Advocate for the ELECTION process

Any god Fearing Somali Nationalist will reject this Terrible "Kampala accord" & "Garowe principles"

It is Ethiopia's & Kenya's dream for this thing to be implemented. They will not succed thanks to the Somali Parliament  :som: :som:

Do you support Somalia losing over 100 nautical miles of Sea territory? So that it could be given to Kenya & that they can begin exploring OIL through a french based Oil company that supports this Roadmap to be implemented?

Yes or no?

The Kampala Accord is a f-king farce. I dont know how any Somali with an inkling of nationalism agreed to that shit. Even Farmaajo, the guy signed it. How the hell do you force a prime minister to sign something? All the signatories were dogs except for Farmaajo who is was an ok guy but even he was spineless nevertheless. The brainless rabble of a parliament are actually doing something good for the first time during their worthless existence by standing up to foreign interference.

Please do not make stuff up, Farmaajo refused to sign it and never signed it. Just go look at a copy of it. When you say something always make sure what you say is true otherwise I will ignore your post, once I see a member making stuff up, I will laugh and not take you serious in my entire stay on this forum. I just warn u so next time becareful and when you say something. But for now I will just assume you were mistaken

Ok so he did not sign it, still as much as I like the guy I think he took the easy way out. He had the will of the people behind him. Tahrir Square is an example of what people power can achieve. By the way Ximan, I may have around 30 or so posts to my name but im not a new member dude. Had this account for few months and been watching snet drama for years thanks to free access from google without signing up. Just never bothered to engage in it. I was the presence that was always there, watching from afar. Shoulda known the name Farmaajo would attract you instantly :D
