That said, there is the issue of ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country. If oil is the big dream and Somalia has a lot of it all over, we could do with chemical engineers and when it comes to building and infrustructure we need architects and civil engineers. Too many people wanting to become the next president and not enough focusing on the building blocks of what it actually take to have a functioning country.

you know back in the days I use to be mr big patriot Somali nationalist and all that, but after I woke up from the daydreaming I realised there is nothing called Somalia, only your qabiil or your qabiils region, Somalia died a painfull death long ago, allaha uu naxariisto I won't bother to use my time or energy to try and bring back the dead to life. I'm extremely unhappy with how Somalis live. Taking a boat to the middle of nowhere in Malta every 3 months is not a way to live, that has to change.

No offence but you are deluded into thinking Dubai, Abu dhabi, riyadh etc. equates to success. Sure, they are years ahead of somalis but everything they have is a mirage built by foreigners and will fall like a deck of cards as soon as the oil taps dry.

Success is New York, London, Tokyo, Seoul, Mumbai, Beijing etc. Those should be your targets not some fat arab with armani khamiis and gucci toilet-paper.
