Siilanyo makes diplomatic visit

Postby union » Sat Feb 04, 2012 10:19 am

Neverland- President Ahmed Mahamoud Silanyo of Somaliland today visited the invisible realm of The Neverlands to attend a high level diplomatic meeting with its leader, Peter Pan. The visit is the latest on his goodwill tour around the world to nations unrecognized by what he calls a "discriminatory, unimaginative world map".

During their meeting, the two leaders discussed a wide range of strategic and global issues, including the security challenges posed by the Jolly Roger pirates to Neverland and the Dhulos to Somaliland, the lack of Disney channel coverage of Somaliland, Santa Clause's projected Christmas Eve travel plans, and the plans by both nations to join the United Nations.

The leaders signed two major official agreements, including a "Non-Aggression Pact" and a free trade agreement. The free trade agreement will facilitate the trade of fairy dust and khat between Neverland and Somaliland respectively. Neverland has also pledged millions of dollars in humanitarian aid to Somaliland, with Peter Pan saying " Neverland generates more in merchandise sales every month than Somaliland generates in GDP every decade, thus its our duty to help our new allies".

Somaliland pundits have hailed the meeting as a "great leap forward for our nations aspirations" and others have suggested this high level meeting with Peter Pan could endear Somaliland to the British public.

President Silanyo woke up from his meeting this morning at 8:00 and plans to visit Narnia tomorrow night.
